Honestly, Solarspots didn't even know what she was. Nobody had ever been able to really figure it out, either- the closest answer she had ever gotten was 'chimaera', or something like that. It actually kind of upset her, still being in the dark after almost two years of life, but she was blessed in ways that made the mystery of her species seem completely irrelevant. As a child, the girl had been kissed by Ra. At least, that's what her mother and father had told her, but she had inclination to believe it, given the photokinesis that she had been blessed with and that she spent her whole life mastering. Not only that, but the comfort and steadier healing that she felt when in the sun was indescribable and not something to be brushed aside as a coincidence. No, she believed that she had been kissed by the Sun God, and nothing would sway her.

Ironically enough, Sola had never heard of Sunclan before- she had spent most of her life in isolation, but after honing her abilities enough to be confident in protecting herself, the girl had set off in search of companionship. Loneliness got tiring after...God, what had it been, 8 months since her parents had left? She had only gotten 6 with them. The thought was upsetting, but she had ignored it, and continued to do so every day that she pushed herself on.

The whole time Solarspots looked for a clan (that was what they were called by the members, right?), she had been land-bound, her wings still too underdeveloped to allow flying. In fact, had Blizzardclan's islands not been so obvious, floating way up in the sky, it was likely that she wouldn't have found any proper civilization at all. Elation coursed through her veins, those vessels filled with golden blood, and a smile lit up her face. It was only instinct that kept her from crossing the border immediately, some sort of deep, ingrained sense that forced her to stay on the proper side and wait for someone to arrive. "Hello? Where I? Are there, uh...people...here?" After the call, it was made obvious that her english was not fluent, and that keeping herself from trespassing was the most that she could do in regards to self-restraint, but dear god she was so excited.

Standing at just around four feet tall, Solarspots is a skinny, wolf-like creature with a lanky build and physical traits deriving from other animals. She has a thick, white pelt covered in midnight-blue and sunrise-orange patches- each patch is dappled with 'freckles' of the opposite color. Her facial features are, while proporionate to her body size, almost identical to that of a coyote; her ears are similar in size to those of a fennec fox. On her back are a set of small, underdeveloped wings, and her claws have been replaced with huge talons that are not akin to those of any other creature. Sola possesses angular features and a set of silvery-grey eyes, as well as a forked black tongue.

While Solarspots had known her parents, they had taught her to be polite, and she had not forgotten it in the months since she had last seen them. She had even been careful not to look too long at the stranger, so as to not cause him any discomfort, but she was pleased to see that his bodily structure was mildly similar to her. Another hint at her species, maybe?

Another approached- this one much ruder than the other, which displeased Sola more than just a bit. "You laugh." She replied, choosing simply to ignore his question as a veiled insult to his tone. She did not want to talk to Mike any more than he seemed to want to talk to her. She turned to Chesspieces once again. "I want be one of you. In group."
